When faced with an imbalance, diagnosis, pain, inflammation or rash, its best to step back and evaluate all the things in your life. Everything is related and interconnected.
Much of our dis-ease is multifaceted. Look at your physical symptoms, your most prominent emotions (past and present) and the foundation of your health (nutrition, sleep and exercise). Each one of these is a piece to the puzzle.

For example, this January I got a nasty cold and large canker sore days after returning home from Baja. I had spent the last month eating too much corn products and not enough greens. I was angry to be home in the cold winter weather. I was frustrated with all the responsibilities that go with being an entrepreneur after spending three weeks wild and free. My emotions were all over and that made my body stressed. I felt like screaming and instead I got a canker sore. Stress lowers your immunity. Anger and frustration combined with a poor diet manifested as the canker sore. All of it was expected. These days I can track when I am going to get sick. It is always when I am living out of alignment, eating poorly, and emotional triggered.
Physical symptoms give us clues to where the imbalance is presenting itself. Emotions, such as anger, resentment, fear, and not feeling good enough, manifest in various forms of tension, pain, heat and inflammation. Sleep is the bedrock. When you sleep 7-9hrs a night, you have a stronger foundation to withstand life stressors. Poor sleep and your system is way more likely to crash.
How you nourish yourself, move you body and sleep is the foundation for your health. There is no one way to eat or exercise. We are all unique. What is key is finding what resonates with your body and following your body's cues. When your three pillars of health are strong and stable then you can weather the seas of life.
A great place to start healing your physical symptoms is with sleep. Give yourself the gift of better sleep and schedule some acupuncture today. Acupuncture regulates your nervous system, your heart and your mind. It is great for anxiety, trouble falling asleep, staying sleep, ruminating and embodying the six steps of rest
A great practitioner is not a healer rather a guide to help decode all the layers to your symptoms and lead you back to homoeostasis with a deeper understanding of your own body as a whole. We, as humans, love patterns and signs. If you look closely and listen, your body will tell you everything you need to know to heal.
